FOSTER ADOPTIVE MISSION
CELEBRATES CONNJAM 2012
WITH THE CT YANKEE COUNCIL
Saturday, May 12th, 2012
There are over 3,000 children who reside in foster homes due to issues of abuse and
neglect. The need for more foster homes is evident so that the children, placed in out
of home care, can be matched with a family who can best meet their needs. Our
Birdhouse Project symbolizes the need for every child to have a safe home. A home
where children will experience love in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our
table will offer a unique, and interactive opportunity ~ for Boy Scouts of every age,
to help paint a community birdhouse. Each boy, adding his own details to the
birdhouse, will create a unified and integrated approach to the meaning of “home”.
Our project will also provide the boys with an opportunity to personally reflect and
share what “home” means to them.
