Calling all Girl Scouts! Don’t forget to stop by the Foster Care Awareness table at the Jamboree. Participate in our Community Bird House Project, A Partnership between the Department of Children and Families, Community Foster Care & Adoption Collaboratives (Hearts, Hands & Homes and Foster Adoptive Mission) and the Connecticut Girl Scouts.
Our table will offer a unique, and interactive opportunity ~ for Girl Scouts of every age, to help paint a community birdhouse. Each girl, adding her own details to the birdhouse, will create a unified and integrated approach to the meaning of “home”. The birdhouses will be on display throughout CT. Our project will also provide the girls with an opportunity to personally reflect and share what “home” means to them.
